PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The role of this position will provide essential support to the Business Affairs Office, contributing to various administrative tasks and projects. The role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities within the department and supporting the overall mission and goals of Ivy Tech Community College.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating unmet financial need.

  • Maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours of enrollment in eligible courses per semester of participation.

  • Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Pursuing a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administrative Support: Assist in clerical duties such as filing, data entry, photocopying, and organizing documents.

  • Maintain accurate and organized records, both physical and digital, ensuring easy accessibility for team members.

  • Financial Record Keeping: Aid in the management of financial records by assisting with invoice processing, expense tracking, and reconciliation tasks. Help maintain accurate financial databases and spreadsheets.

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on various business-related topics as assigned, gather data, and prepare reports summarizing findings. Assist in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Project Assistance: Support business affairs projects by providing administrative assistance, coordinating tasks, and ensuring project deadlines are met. Collaborate with team members to facilitate project progress and successful completion.

  • Evaluations are performed at the end of each award year. Federal Work Study employees are considered for pay increases after each full year of employment.
