We are looking for a Senior Programme Manager
This position is focused on the successful delivery of a programme of work that comprises the multi phased redevelopment of a significant office campus (in excess of 1m sqft) in Pune for a financial services Client. The Client is a global multinational with whom JLL provides project and programme management services in APAC. The position reports to the APAC PMO Lead, but interfaces with internal and Client stakeholders within India, APAC and across service lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for the governance, oversight, and implementation of projects within the programme of work to meet the Client’s objectives, policies, processes and procedures. This role is based in Mumbai, located in the Client's offices, with a requirement for regular travel to Pune.
Roles and Responsibilities
Working closely with, and reporting to the APAC PMO Lead, the role involves:
Generally
Provides accountability and act as the single point of contact to the Client for the delivery of within the programme, from strategy to handover.
Own the relationship with key stakeholders and assure effective communication. Serve as the single point of contact providing accountability and certainty. Ensure alignment and communication to client business lines and stakeholders. Where required manage conflict resolution.
Be familiar with, monitor and report on compliance with, the Client’s standard practices, processes and templates for managing projects, to consistently and efficiently reduce project related risk and costs.
Oversee the collection, consolidation and analysis of programme and project data to drive effective decision making. Keep mandated JLL and Client reporting tools up to date to ensure accurate and effective reporting at all time.
Promote continuous quality monitoring and drive improvement on projects and documentation. Ensure best practices are being followed and hold Project Managers accountable for driving quality control at all stages of the project.
Programme Operations
Drive effective communication, organization, and oversight to ensure completion on time, within scope, and within budget while fostering communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders.
Drive smooth and efficient execution through the coordination of key activities and meetings.
Collaborate with, and provide oversight to, the project team and Client Stakeholders during each project stage, track activities, manage budgets, identify, and mitigate risks, maintain project documentation, ensure quality standards, engage with stakeholders, handle scope changes, and coordinate project closure activities.
Guide project teams to deliver to specification, on time and in budget with the required standards for construction and data quality. Ensure that all reporting is accurate, including on the status of the project and project finances.
Support project planning, design and internal approval activities where required.
Implement project controls that ensure proper management of the projects budget, scope, schedule, risk, quality and health and safety.
Proactively work to resolve deficiencies in project delivery and escalate accordingly to the PMO Lead.
Where applicable, support the procurement of vendor partners, including consultants, general contractors and supply contracts for long lead in items / items covered by Supplier framework agreements.
Review payment applications for alignment between invoiced amounts and services.
Ensure that changes to scope or budget are reported on and managed in compliance with Client procedures.
Ensure structured handover and close out including documentation to relevant stakeholders such as FM, Finance etc and that documentation is available for compliance with the Client’s audit requirements.
Be an advocate for and assures compliance of Health and Safety best practice with JLL and Client policy.
Be committed to JLL and the Client’s sustainability commitments and drive their implementation within the project.
Project Governance:
Oversee the performance of variable project team members in relation to the management of risk, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and escalated appropriately. Hold Project Managers accountable for mitigating or eliminating risk.
Manage vendor performance in accordance with contractual frameworks ensuring that external vendors are contractually compliant and delivering to their outlined scope.
Undertake change management to ensure project variations are reviewed and executed in line with the Client’s processes & procedures. Ensure changes are thoroughly reviewed, documented, and approved by relevant stakeholders.
Ensure projects adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and building codes.
Oversee management of project budgets and expenditures, ensuring activities are aligned to the Client’s processes & procedures.
Oversee the Project Manager’s quality control processes to ensure work meets established standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits.
Oversee the Project Manager’s adherence to established communication protocols for project reporting.
Ensure the Project Manager is adhering to the Client’s requirements around project documentation and utilizing the correct templates and tools. Ensure that all project documentation is properly organized, including contracts, permits, plans, and reports. Ensure documents are version-controlled and easily accessible via the Clients technology tools.
Support the creation and sharing of lessons learnt and other knowledge transfer across projects in the programme and ensure that the project team addresses and remediates any noted audit gaps.
Interfaces
This role interfaces with the following
JLL APAC PMO Lead and other Programme Managers working within the Account
Client’s Global and Regional Workplace Teams and other internal functions (where appropriate) including Health and Safety, Engineering, Sustainability, Internal Business Unit Stakeholders, In country management, Facility Managers, Finance, Security and IT teams.
Clients Global and Regional Real Estate Leads and Asset Managers.

Personal attributes

International experience in capital works and/or programs within complex Multinational Client organisations and delivery of / oversight of multiple projects of significant value (+50m USD Capital Spend).
Digitally literate and familiar with using project management information systems to report on project progress
You possess a good knowledge of industry principles and processes relevant to your role
Demonstrable experience and an appropriate professional qualification are a preferred requirement.
Excellent communication skills
Numerate
Experience in delivering non-standard spaces such as trading floors, cafeterias etc
English, both written and spoken, to a good technical standard. Other languages an advantage
Educated to Degree in a business related function
15+ years post-graduate experience in relevant field of operations
Prior experience in the Banking and Finance Sector, including demonstrable experience engaging with Business Leaders / Senior Executives
