Job Summary:

In a career as an RN-Employee Health, you join us in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. In this role, you will conduct reviews, screens, surveils, educations and follows-up for the Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) Employee Health Program and related activities.

Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours a week, Day hours and no weekends

Location: Downtown Clinic

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Conducts new hire immunization review , health assessment, annual screenings, surveillance and follow-up of employee exposures/injuries, provision of assessment, first-aid and/or referral to injured employees, administers TB skin tests and immunizations as applicable.
  • Assists with developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with employee health policies and procedures.
  • Assists with new hire orientation and educational programs related to employee health issues.
  • Assists with coordinating activities to ensure compliance with The Joint Commission standards, CDC, OSHA regulations and requirements of applicable local, state, federal regulatory agencies.
  • Secures and maintains employee health records as per organization, federal, and/or state regulations.
  • Assists with the coordination of the annual flu shot campaign.
  • Ensures all employee health documentation and data entry in the HR spreadsheet is completed prior to leaving for the day.
  • Coordinates ergonomic reviews and follow-up in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources and staff on worker's compensation, to assure appropriate reporting and follow-up of injuries/accidents.
  • Records, compiles, and analyzes employee health illness and injuries to identify safety or health issues. Provides education as needed.
  • Assists the Child Care Center with health-related issues and provides education as needed.
  • Reviews non-employee and community provider immunization records to ensure immunity to communicable diseases and follows up as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in the clinic, ambulatory surgical or hospital setting required.
  • Current valid RN License required.
  • CPR (BLS) certification required.
  • Means of transportation between BTNRH sites required.
