Job Title:

Job Summary:

Provides leadership and management to all nursing personnel and ancillary personnel within a centralized, research area or unit in a clinical setting. Manages all clinical and research functions of the assigned area or unit. Ensures efficient and effective delivery of clinical patient/participant care and research services and ensures compliance with administrative, regulatory, and clinical policies and procedures. Performs job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in nursing and five years of RN experience, to include three years in a research role, and to include two years in supervisory role. Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) within one year of hire date.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:  Valid Mississippi RN License,Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) within 1 year of hire date

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and directs the operations and delivery of research services within the budgetary, staffing and regulatory guidelines, following protocol procedures.
  • Ensures that personnel demonstrate quality standards of research integrity, patient/participant care, and participant satisfaction.
  • Manages nursing and ancillary personnel within an assigned area or unit by coaching, educating, consulting, training, and evaluating their performance.
  • Plans, schedules and organizes the work of the assigned area or unit to ensure the proper distribution of assignments and efficient utilization of clinical personnel, space, and facilities.
  • Assures compliance with productivity standards for assigned area/units.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities to enhance the delivery of clinical care.
