Job Summary: Introduction

Job Responsibilities

The Global Supply Management (GSM) team at Micron is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual for the role of the Tactical Supply Planner. The role is an opportunity for a motivated individual to utilize his or her analytical, business and process/project management skills to enable Back End Operations by Supporting wafer availability on time to meet the build-plan.

In this role, you will ensure the availability of Wafer before the start date of production/build to meet accurate promises and profitable delivery dates to the customers. Work with upstream and downstream for impeccable execution as well as proactively look for Improvement opportunity. Troubleshoot all system & process issues along with partners to achieve the delivery commitment. In addition, you collaborate with teams through positive relationship and co-ownership in achieving overall company and GSC Performance Indicators, including Wafer offload related metrics, while consistently evaluating opportunities and supporting process updates to improve overall performance.

In this exciting role:

  • You will drive the build-plan adherence by timely supporting wafer availability.
  • Collaborate with partners to provide resolutions to any IT or process related issues.
  • Proactively communicate stakeholders of any risk to build plan.
  • Drive corrective action based on metrics and measures.
  • Support business decisions in case of allocations
  • Inventory Management by proactively driving Ageing Wafer Disposition plan.

The Wafer Offload team interfaces activity with various teams in Micron, including teams from GSM, Micron External Manufacturing, Logistics, Backend planning and Finished Goods, in order to get promising commitments and build our products timely to meet customer delivery expectation.

Requirements

  • Approach-The ability to think strategically and execute tactically, persistent attention to detail and ability to maintain composures under compressed or stressful timelines.
  • System-SAP/IT System -Hands on experience as Super User/Solution Architect. (3-4 years minimum)
  • Problems Solving skill to find root cause and drive corrective action.
  • Data Analytics-Drive business decisions based on data, hands on advance excel/access.
  • Communication-Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation and PowerPoint skills
  • Stakeholders Management / Project and Process Management experiences (2-3 years minimum)
  • Can Do Attitude-Shown ability to work effectively in a team environment with multi-functional teams and possesses excellent interpersonal skills
  • Supply Chain Knowledge – End to end knowledge of supply chain at expert level.

Education

  • Master’s Degree / MBA preferred in the field of Industrial Engineering, analytics or Supply Chain/Operations
  • APICS Certified will be an added advantage
  • 0-2 Years experience
