The AP Operations Specialist supports the organization by representing Asset Protection on company-wide initiatives. Examples include but are not limited to; CCTV upgrades, Express Pay, Policy & Procedure enhancements, Security services, Incident Management and New club opening. This position will support the Field Asset Protection team with investigations, merchandise protection enhancements and improvements to physical security. This role will develop, review and administer strategic programs impacting Asset Protection. Responsible for new Asset Protection equipment installations and ordering. Individual projects and assignments outside of these core responsibilities will be determined by the needs of the business. Collaborate with internal business partners as well as vendors is essential to resolve issues and support the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supports new initiatives and projects that will drive down shrink and increase profitability. Examples include supporting digital initiatives, providing updates to policy and procedure, and represent Asset Protection on new business initiatives.
  • Partners with internal resources for resolution on issues impacting the Asset Protection Department and Company.
  • Works with vendors to identify solutions that will increase efficiencies and drive down costs. 
  • Supports various projects and temporary assignments for areas impacting the department and organization.
  • Addresses security concerns impacting team members, members, vendors, contractors and individuals on BJ’s premises.
  • Think strategically and become involved in company initiatives to ensure effective shrink controls are in place to protect profitability.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice or Information Technology required.
  • LPQ certification preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of related work experience.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, excellent PC skills including Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Proven interpersonal, facilitation and customer relations skills.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $70,000.00.
