Zelis is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer in our Security Operations team! This person will be responsible for maintaining and updating security tools relating to Email Security, Data Loss Prevention, cloud-based Security tools, and other Security Operations. The successful candidate works autonomously while coordinating jointly with systems support personnel and IT teams to enhance Security Tools and ensure a secure computing environment.
Location and Workplace Flexibility: We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams in leading the design, planning, and implementation of email security solutions and services across the business
Proactively investigate and develop improvements for existing and new processes
Identify new areas of opportunity consistent with security standards.
Leverage tools and knowledge to troubleshoot and identify complex problems, and ability to design
Manage the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and concepts of data classification and support the end users
Provide input on messaging initiatives, manage email security infrastructure, and deploy security controls to manage and mitigate risks
Perform tasks in support of the Information Security Steering Committee including creating the agenda, recording minutes and coordinating schedules
Deliver clear and meaningful reports, presentations, metrics, and other materials for approval by boards and committees
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related degree and experience
8+ years of experience in Information Security or Information Technology
5+ years of experience building and maintaining email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, etc.) concepts, and technical understanding of their implementation
Strong understanding of the tools and concepts relating to Security Operations; SIEM, EDR, DLP, NAC, etc.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with different teams, both technical and non-technical
Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
Utilize proactive continuous improvement approach to product implementations and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with regulatory controls and industry best practice frameworks such as HIPAA, ISO27001/2, PCI DSS, NIST, CISA, etc.
Security+, CISA, or GIAC certifications
HITRUST knowledge and experience
Work environment:
Travel requirements to domestic destinations should not exceed 10%.
