Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a PC Network Support Technician level 3 for our Elkton, Maryland location.

The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers.  The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Job Summary:

Provides technical support for computers and associated networks. Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors. Provides personal computer, hardware, and software support. Installs, services, and repairs personal computers and installs attendant software. Connects personal computers and terminals to existing data networks. Maintains network diagrams and circuit records. Maintains trouble logs. Instructs users in the use of personal computers and networks. Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases. Performs basic PC and network software programming.

Tasks include:

• Provide hardware, software, and infrastructure support for facility systems such as access security, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) and fire alarm;
• Perform IT equipment installs; troubleshoot and maintain computers and network equipment.
• Provide AV (audiovisual) and other conference room support
• Provide hardware, software, infrastructure support for off-network/enclave unclassified computers and systems;
• Provide limited managed and non-managed printer support;
• Coordinate with third-party vendors providing specialized support both onsite and remote;
• Document procedures and instructions as required;
• Notates work completed in various ticketing systems

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4 years overall work experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work modified shifts, overtime and weekends, if needed, and have some flexible working hours to staff production needs.
• Ability to acquire a Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing, assembly or mechanics position
• Defense Industry experience
• Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word
• Familiar with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles

This position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for this location.  Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval to be a possessor.

Salary Range: $55,100.00 - $91,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
