Let’s talk about this role

As the Senior People and Culture Manager, you’ll truly partner with the business to build leadership capability and drive a leader-led culture. Leveraging your expertise in industrial and employee relations, executing People and Culture strategy, and analysing employee data and insights, you'll become a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the leadership team.

Working closely with leaders and employees, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing, inclusive, and innovative work environment. This role will be responsible for shaping a culture where leaders champion people strategies. You will assess and anticipate workforce dynamics, proactively advising senior leadership on the talent and employee relations risks and implications of business decisions.

Let’s talk about you

Due to the nature of our agile business, we are looking for someone with extensive experience at a senior HR level in a similar environment such as Financial Services. You will be comfortable working in both a strategically driven role and being hands on, your day-to-day activities will include performance management, talent development and reviewing HRIS (Workday) requirements.

You consider yourself as someone who possesses strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to form trusted relationships with business leaders, providing both operational HR solutions and driving strategic initiatives aligned to nib Group strategy. 

You have proven leadership capability which will be instrumental in empowering other key members of the P&C team to effectively execute our People Plan. By leveraging your coaching and mentoring abilities, you will be confident to actively collaborate with the team to ensure quality and consistency in our initiatives.

Furthermore, we’re looking for someone with:

  • Relevant degree qualification in HR Management (or a related discipline) or equivalent industry experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Australian legislative frameworks including Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation

  • Experience within Industrial Relations including formal dispute resolution (i.e. participation in conciliation and commission hearings) and exposure to the negotiation and management of an Enterprise Agreement

  • Experience managing relationships and liaising with Union officials and delegates

  • Knowledge and commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace

  • Passionate about actively promoting cultural change
