What does a Workforce Supervisor really do? Think of yourself as the leader of the team of WFM Intraday Analysts and Planner, so not just anyone is qualified for this role! So come on, now we need your full concentration because it’s time to imagine what it’s like being a Workforce Supervisor.

Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: to deliver the world's best customer experience by striking a balance between service and cost. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: that you will supervise the Operational and fiscal activities of the Workforce Management team.


As a Workforce Supervisor, you will build relationships with the Operational leaders, specifically the manager, supervisor and team leads. You will also drive real time strategies including skilling, shrinkage utilization, as well as partner with Operations to drive representative behaviors especially around call handling. You will provide daily alerts to the leadership team which would include efficiency indicators such as Shrinkage, Attrition, SLA's etc. You will do the comparisons, and study the absenteeism trending, as well as other unique behaviors and drivers. You will also take ownership of maintaining planning & scheduling files for a few campaigns in the site.

Do you have what it takes to become a Workforce Supervisor?

What is it we’re looking for? Well, since this is a managerial post, we need someone who already has the skills to even call themselves one. So we need someone with at least 3 years of experience in a Supervisor role and at least 5 years as an experienced employee. You need to have at least a minimum of 3 years of statistical and forecasting experience in a call center, including one year in a supervisory or management capacity.

Also, at least 3 years of experience with WFM platforms (e.g., eWFM, IEX, Monet), also a minimum of 3 years in terms of experience with developing call center agent schedules within a virtual call center network, monitoring intraday call volume, making intraday adjustments and enforcing schedule with agents. We need someone with experience with the workforce management system in a multi-channel, multi-skill and multi-site environment. Someone who also has the ability to drive high performance work teams and has the experience as well as understanding of staffing, queues, and performance measurements.

What else? Well, we need someone with proficiency with Excel and is adept at managing multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Have strong written and verbal communication skills? That’s great! Because we know it’s important that the supervisor has the ability to drive and effectively communicate change.

We also need someone with good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Someone who is tactful, flexible and people oriented. Someone who has the ability to work in a team environment and has the ability to act and drive a sense of urgency to ensure both internal and external customers are served in a timely manner.

We need someone with the ability to motivate and lead through tactical leadership built from strategic vision. Someone who has a strong ability to analyze call trends and take appropriate action. Someone with strong mathematical, analytical, communication and organization skills.

We’re also looking for someone who is flexible and can quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes. Someone who possesses solid business logic and analytical skills. Someone who has the ability to transform data into organized insightful information. Someone who is able to meet tight deadlines; strong ability to self-manage on deliverable execution.
