POSITION OVERVIEW
 
BDC has embarked on a project to acquire and implement a digital solution to modernize its intranet. Following the selection of a solution, the project is entering its discovery, configuration, and implementation phase. The Product Owner, Intranet is part of the Human Resources Employee Communications team, and works closely with a project team and various business and IT specialists.

Please note that this is a 12-month temporary position.
 
 

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Be part of the team as Product Owner (PO) and lead key deliverables.

  • In collaboration with business leaders, support the product vision, ensure implementation, and maximize the value of the employee portal and intranet solution.

  • Help define the detailed implementation approach, as well as a roadmap aligned with the strategy and priorities identified by the HR department.

  • In collaboration with business managers, document business and functional requirements to create an iteratively prioritized backlog of tasks.

  • Define clear and verifiable acceptance criteria.

  • Demonstrate leadership, creativity, and innovation.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, administration, business or equivalent.

  • At least 3 years' experience as a Product Owner.

  • Knowledge of agile methods: The PO must master Agile/Scrum methodologies. He or she works methodically, dividing the creation process into iterations lasting a few weeks, and submits the first versions to the business managers for fine-tuning.

  • Technical understanding: The PO must work closely with developers, UX designers and our supplier. He or she interprets the needs of business managers and transforms them into functional tools.

  • Knowledge of intranets and employee portals or related knowledge.

  • Understanding of Saas solutions and integrations.

  • Familiarity with requirement gathering, information architecture, visual design, functional and technical specifications, test scenarios and executions, as well as release management.

  • Bilingual, both written and spoken, in both official languages (English and French).
