General profile

The role reports into the head of Business Development & Growth (BDG) in Semiconductor Business Unit (SPG). It partners with senior leaders across the company to deliver on the India growth strategy to help scale business , drive innovation and build new levels of collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and driving long term vision for Applied Materials India by leveraging existing capabilities, harnessing talent and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Drive synergy and collaboration between various groups to optimize capabilities , drive engagement.
  • Driving long-term infrastructure growth and development aligned to company's strategic plans.
  • Developing new technology and product development capabilities to enable Applied Materials India to contribute to company’s innovation charter.
  • Developing and fostering partnerships with universities and other research organizations to strengthen talent development and innovation footprint.
  • Demonstrating organizational agility, leading through matrix structures and driving alignment among business unit leaders on key priorities for India.
  • Driving high performance and productivity culture, building strong leadership and inclusive teams to help company scale.
  • Support local community outreach and philanthropic efforts consistent with Applied Materials’ focus areas
  • Ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies for the site.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and Master’s degree business administration or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • 15 + years' industry experience working in multiple disciplinary business groups / roles. Demonstrated ability to create and drive strategy, leading execution across large organizations.
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships across matrixed organizational structures.
  • Financial and operational experience of managing large business units – a plus
  • Proven experience in leading large diverse organizations.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Having a talent mindset with a focus on innovation and collaboration
  • Travel: As needed globally
