The Position:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, serves as the Executive Director Finance for the Indianapolis campus. The Executive Director provides leadership and direction to the finance and business offices which are responsible for budgeting, procurement, payables, grant management, accounts receivable, audit compliance, and other financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides supervision and leadership of Indianapolis Business Office and Finance Office
  • Directs all financial and accounting activities of the campuses in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Assists Chief Operating Officer in planning, preparing, and administering annual operating, capital, utilities and lease budgets.
  • Provides monthly campus financial analysis and interpretation and maintains necessary budgetary controls.
  • Ensures integrity of all financial, accounts receivable and fixed asset information for the campus.
  • Oversees procurement processes at the campus level in accordance with the College purchasing policy.
  • Oversees third-party contracts/grants from government agencies in conjunction with System Office Sponsored Program Accounting staff.
  • Manages and coordinates special projects as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer
  • Responsible for campus audit functions including periodic self-audits of campus procedures as well as coordination with Systems Office internal audit
  • Demonstrate strong customer service through positive attitude and approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving and desire to identify and support student success.

SUPERVISION GIVEN: Director of Finance; Director of Bursar

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field is required. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Must be able to facilitate continuous improvement and effective change management.
  • Must demonstrate effective team building and management and customer service skills.

Starting Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000/annually (based on experience)
