What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is seeking a GenAI Technician Analyst to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Headquarters, Chief Technology Officer Directorate (CTOD), Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology (AI/ET) initiative. This team works with a federal workforce staff with technical expertise for the smooth functioning of high-visibility, department-wide AI initiatives. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated passion for exploring GenAI/AI solutions and a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-moving, frequently changing environment.

This is a remote work eligible position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The GenAI Technician Analyst is an entry-level role that provides operational, testing, and customer support to project teams building AI solutions.  You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting new AI product development.  This will include learning about the system(s) we are building and then providing day-to-day support for AI system end users by answering questions and resolving common issues, updating and improving documentation on AI systems and projects, conducting basic functional testing, and assisting engineers with the automation of testing for AI systems and solutions.  You will work closely with AI project teams to test and support AI and GenAI solutions throughout the software development lifecycle from early prototypes to full production release.   This entry-level role provides an environment of unparalleled opportunity to grow and advance.  

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Document and execute test conditions based on scripts from development teams and project managers
  • Support development teams by assisting with automating test conditions
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing and quality control for supported AI systems
  • Engage with end-users to provide initial customer support and help in resolving questions and identifying issues  
  • Document customer support queries into a ticket system and / or knowledge database
  • Develop and produce informational products for stakeholders of supported AI systems in the form of fact sheets, user documentation, and/or release notes.
  • Perform quality control to include reviewing and editing documents for grammar, format, and content
  • Bring a collaborative, team-centric attitude and enthusiasm that encourages outreach and partnership
  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding for customers and end users working with new AI technologies.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred
  • High School graduate and 3 years of applicable work experience, or equivalent (equivalency includes AA or higher degree with <1 year of experience)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Ability and desire to experiment creatively with new technologies and tools including software products, GenAI, etc. 
  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Team player able to support and collaborate with other members of the team including developers, testers, and project managers
  • Ability to work reliably and independently with some direction and management oversight.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • User experience with GenAI text generation tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) with an eye for the quality of outputs.
  • Understanding of GenAI issues including hallucinations, bias, etc. that may impact truthfulness and accuracy
  • Understanding of user acceptance or functional testing for technical products
  • Experience in customer support ideally for questions related to software or devices
  • Able to think critically about information generated by automated systems

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,500-$79,000
