The Opportunity:
Support our customers and manage Project Management Training (PMT) contracted services at multiple Naval Shipyard sites (Bremerton, WA; Portsmouth, NH; Norfolk, VA; Honolulu, HI; Washington, DC). PMT has two key areas of focus – Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD) Program and Project Management Fundamentals (PMF) Program. Ensure our customers and PMT contracted services, are supported in a manner that provide operational and delivery excellence.
Leverage strong problem-solving and systems-thinking abilities to manage people, customer relationships, projects, and processes with a laser focus on alignment to strategic, tactical, and operational contract support activities.
Make significant PMT-related management at the strategic level that require expenditure or allocation of resources to fulfill contract requirements within funded taskings. Problems to resolve are typically difficult and complex; usually will impact multiple organizations, functions, or specialties and are solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.
Build and develop relationships with integrated stakeholders across the Naval Maintenance Community. Must be attuned and responsive to customer needs, challenges, and opportunities with an innovative/transformative professional mindset.
Stay current on the Naval Maintenance Community’s strategic goals, programs, initiatives, trends, and technology. Cultivate CACI business growth opportunities and potentially lead personnel in that new work.
This position reports to the Deputy Program Manager and is integral to ensuring PMT operations are aligned to CACI requirements, initiatives, processes, and culture.
Work site will fluctuate between the customer site and CACI office; on occasion at home site (with prior arrangements).
Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple PMT-related geographic site responsibilities, planning, prioritizing, and directing the work of employees and subcontractors with a focus on strategic, tactical, and operational excellence. Manage financial responsibilities for PMT operations. Oversee PMT budget planning, staffing accountability and process adherence to policies, practices, and procedures. Support the team of Program Operations Managers who are responsible for local site operations.
Lead a team of professionals and practitioners from multiple task areas who support multiple contracts while maintaining functional area methodology in alignment with contract/PMT expectations. Supervise, hire, onboard, train, monitor/assess work performance, and mentor employees and subcontractors. Ensure quality delivery of support/services and set objectives for your team’s achievement of operational results. Oversee staffing accountability and adherence to policies, processes, practices, and procedures.
Plan, facilitate, lead, and support customer and CACI meetings, presentations, briefings, strategic planning sessions, working groups, off-site events, etc. in support of contract activities. This includes pre- and post-administrative support/coordination.
Represent the Senior Program Manager onsite and fill in as needed in the Senior Program Manager’s absence. Provide primary input to talent acquisition, promotion, performance, and reward decisions. Identify opportunities for program improvement and provide solutions for significant improvement of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance, value of services, and demonstrate innovative influence with alignment to a systems perspective (Company-Program-Site).
Execute and evolve a common contract framework for PMT customer services, solutions, and metrics using project management principles. Support the contract’s internal (CACI) and external (government customers) business reporting requirements. Communicate and knowledge share with other CACI programs and counterparts within and outside of own job function, and with external customers or vendors depending upon the job function.
Support the execution of contract requirements, which will include submission of supporting data and metrics and timely completion of written reports to stakeholders, customers, and CACI leadership.

Qualifications:
Required:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DOD Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 7 years of work experience in project management, minimum 3 years of experience managing financials, and minimum 3 years of experience leading and building teams – to include hiring and supervising employees. In lieu of the degree requirement, candidates with a minimum 10 years of directly applicable work experience may be considered for this position.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Broad understanding of Shipyard business and operational processes and general knowledge of Shipyard planning and execution systems.
Executive presence. Strong customer service orientation and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to respectfully engage internal and external customers at all levels in a manner that achieves successful outcomes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and time management, and ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects and tasks efficiently.
Desired:
Working knowledge of government contracting and experience with forecasting and budgeting multiple tasks under one or more contracts.
Knowledge of coaching, leadership, team development, and process improvement methodologies.
Work experience with the Naval Maintenance Community, the US Navy, or the Department of Defense.
