Overview of role

This position is for an individual interested in joining a highly motivated group charged with technical mastery to manage uncertainties and enable business in complex and challenging regulatory environment. The Global Product Stewardship's (GPS) mission is to build and protect business and corporate reputation by ensuring our ingredients, products and packages are safe and perceived as safe, in regulatory compliance and delivering against our global sustainability vision.

Your team

Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center at Biopolis, you will work the group who is working to deliver the said mission through leveraging global scale, leading edge science, external influencing and end-to-end capabilities with internal and external resources and connections. The individual would be part of a blended global team supporting both technical community and commercial team, working with global based members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage technical and regulatory mastery plus project management skills to enable business in volatile external environment.

  • Establish deep understanding in Asia (including China end-to-end) cosmetic technical regulations and translate them into executable action plans for the company

  • Coordinate and guide innovation projects with regulatory assessment to ensure safety & compliance of ingredients, raw materials, packages and finish products

  • Complete ingredient and product registrations whenever necessary with help of multi-functional team and external agency

  • Work with multi-function teams to support issue and crisis management with creative yet sound regulatory solutions

  • Monitor changes on Asia cosmetic related regulations to evaluate the impact and lead mitigation plans of responsible product category.


 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters/PhD degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences or related fields

  • 3+ years relevant experience

  • Sound knowledge of technical regulations with the ability to leverage fundamentals in Toxicology and Chemistry. Deep understanding of the product and technology in the skin/cosmetic product category.

  • Effective in Chinese reading, writing, and communication, able to read and interpret Chinese regulations is essential skill for China market

  • Capability to collate and analyze relevant data and develop executable strategy.

  • Able to understand and solve business problems using external and internal resources.

  • Good communication skills to guide business to align on the optimized proposal

  • Excellent organization skills, attention to details, and ability to learn fast and handle complex projects and issues

  • Excellent collaboration skills; ability to establish and maintain diverse, remote and multi-functional working relationships

  • Has growth mindset, proactive, strong leadership, and operational discipline
