About the Role

The Accountant will be primarily focused on our annual financial close process, preparation, and review of statutory accounts, and fulfilling various compliance obligations. This position involves working on diverse accounting projects aimed at continuously improving our statutory compliance processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in forming the International Accounting team focused on the APAC region.

  • Prepare extended trial balances for annual statutory accounts for multiple international entities.

  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements for several international entities.

  • Conduct flux analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of international entities under a controllership model.

  • Liaise with audit teams and other advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory obligations for international entities.

  • Prepare requested items for external providers, including required schedules and support packs for annual compliance.

  • Work with international accounting standards, including US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance processes and systems for financial and statutory reporting.

  • Complete statutory quarterly and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, general ledger reviews, and reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal tax and legal teams.

  • Prepare statistical returns for several international entities.

  • Participate in accounting projects to continuously improve statutory compliance processes

About You

A self-starter, a great communicator, who enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a multifaceted fast-paced Shared Services Centre environment.


Basic Qualifications

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accreditation.

  • 3+ years of post-qualification experience or equivalent.

Other Qualifications

  • Experience in a Shared Service Centre, preferably in a global accounting environment.

  • Proficiency in technical accounting and interpretation across US GAAP, IFRS, and global reporting.

  • Ability to support team goals while leading individual responsibilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize optimally.

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure and a fast paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to maintain a high-level overview.

  • Proven background and qualifications in statutory accounting.

  • Fast learner with a proactive, 'can do' attitude.

  • Flexibility to work across different time zones, particularly with finance teams in Dublin and the US
