Business Insider is hiring a SVP, Strategy & Analytics to work closely with our CEO to influence pivotal decisions and strategies that will drive the company’s growth.

The Role & Team:

As SVP, Strategy & Analytics, you will use your keen understanding of data analytics and business acumen to identify strategic opportunities, set goals, design implementation and testing plans, and develop dashboards. Collaborating closely with our executive team, you will have the opportunity to shape critical decisions across our businesses – including advertising, subscriptions, commerce, and partnerships.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a seasoned professional with experience in the media industry, and a track record of unearthing trends and opportunities to drive strategy. Your analytical skills will be matched by your ability to transform complex data and long-term trends into compelling narratives, with actionable insights at the forefront of your recommendations.

The SVP, Strategy & Analytics reports directly to the CEO of Business Insider. This role will be located in the NYC Metro area. This person will come into the NYC office three days a week.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the linchpin between data and decision-making, you will be instrumental in elevating Insider's performance, taking charge of core KPI tracking across the company.
  • You will develop sophisticated forecasting models in collaboration with our finance team and business leaders. 
  • You will regularly make recommendations and provide insight on trends based on a deep understanding of the drivers of the business.
  • You will build decks for meetings with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • You will become a trusted advisor for the executive team, helping supercharge their strategies around growth opportunities. 

 

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Background in management consulting.
  • Experience and a deep understanding of the media industry and its current landscape.
  • Strong analytical and data skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills. An ability to communicate complex topics concisely but without over-simplifying.

 

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $235,000 - $275,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
  • Annual bonus based on company performance and personal goals
