Job Title: Clinical Nursing Manager

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 (D.O.E.)

Location: Abbeydale

Job Type: Fixed-term contact until September 2025

Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week over 5 days, plus 1:6 weekends and no OOH.

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time Clinical Nursing Manager (CNM) to join our well-established practice and lead our team of highly skilled nurses. Prior experience would be preferred but not essential if one has RVN experience.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive CNM, who will be mainly working at our Abbeydale branch but will be required to travel to our other branches as necessary to keep in touch and train/work with the RVNs in those sites.

The Clinical Nursing Manager (CNM) role is key to the business’s ability to provide a high level of clinical standards. This will include strategic, professional, and operational leadership to the nursing team across the practices and provide a nursing voice at a senior level.

You will ensure that patients are managed as effectively as possible from a nursing perspective whilst ensuring practice policies and group policies are always adhered to whilst providing outstanding patient and client care. The CNM will be responsible for 80% of the clinical workload, plus 20% of the non-clinical workload on a non-clinical day each week.

About us

We are a multi-site, RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) accredited, primary care practice based in the southwest county of Gloucestershire. For over 25 years we have dedicated our services to the care of small animals keeping them happy and healthy. Each of our practices offers a range of services with strengths in medicine, surgery, and radiology, which means our patients can be treated for most conditions locally and efficiently with the support of our friendly and caring team.  Our practices are conveniently located for city or Cotswold country life, with easy access to the motorway network and various airports.

The Team 

Come and join our super friendly and supportive team of around 10 nurses, 4 receptionists, and 6 vets! We have an external orthopaedic surgeon who comes to us for our more advanced orthopaedic cases. 

We have a strongly bonded team and regularly hold social events/team building days several times a year.
