Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services is seeking a F/A-18 Senior Maintenance Operations Leader to lead F/A-18 Maintenance Operations at Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the day to day Maintenance Operations of an organizational maintenance team in support of   flight training operations for the Kuwait F/A-18 Super Hornet Program, while successfully managing, developing, and motivating a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
  •  Manage employees and first-level managers performing, logistics, repair, and maintenance activities in an organizational squadron structure.
  •  Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  •  Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management and leads process improvements.
  •  Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, program management, peers, partners and direct reports.
  •  Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  •  Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Experience with • 4790.2 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)
  • 3+ years' of Experience with DCMA Instruction 8210.1
  • 5+ years experience with F/A-18 aircraft
  • 3+ years' of experience with government contracts
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance management, including planning and alignment of maintenance   requirements and capturing and utilizing maintenance records
  • Experience working with US Navy Maintenance Administration in addition to Navy aircraft logbooks and records
  • 5+ year of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance
  • 5+ years of experience in managing project schedules and managing programs and projects
  • 5+  years of experience leading a cross-functional team 
  • Travel domestically and/or internationally on short notice

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Technical project/program management experience
  • Board Chairman experience with Safe for Flight, Ordnance, Collateral Duty Officer and Plane Captain
  • F/A-18 Super Hornet Safe for Flight experience
  • Experience with day to day operations of organizational maintenance on F/A-18 Aircraft
  •  Experience with U.S. Navy maintenance practices and experience partnering with government  customers to deliver services and products.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $132,600 – $179,400
