General Description:
As a member of an integrated team of Rehabilitation and education specialists, promotes a healthy professional practice environment and supports inter-professional collaborative relationships within OU Health. The research and education coordinator serves as a change agent, mentor, and leader and fully supports the Rehabilitation Student program, Evidence based practice, and professional development activities at OU Health.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current licensure with Oklahoma State Board of Medical licensure and supervision as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or a Speech Language Pathologist. Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong program management skills, and experience in clinical professional development. Knowledge of the normal development of speech, language and hearing and the ability to train others. Ability to perform diagnostic tests for communication disorders and formulate a treatment plan. Must be able to interact in a patient, encouraging manner with clients and students to understand their communication needs and assist them in achieving the program goals specific to them. Good interpersonal skills with customers, co-workers and clients.
