The Role

You’ll oversee the Financial Strategy team and will be responsible for leading the forecasting and reporting processes, being the technical expert on strategic analysis and communicating strategic insights to improve business performance. 

  • Manage and contribute to the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning processes
  • Manage and contribute to the financial reporting processes, including variance analysis, management reporting and Board reporting 
  • Continuously look to deliver strategic insights to help improve business performance 
  • Technical lead and expert contributor on complex financial models and analysis 
  • Manage Financial Strategy team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • Review, and take responsibility for, Financial Strategy team members’ work  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead internal meetings to present insights and analysis 
  • Lead the preparation and drafting of Board and investor presentations
  • Evaluate and support on corporate finance events, such as fundraises and acquisitions
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy

The Requirements

  • 5+ years’ work experience in Financial Strategy or FP&A 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with strong academic credentials
  • Expert modelling and financial analysis skills with strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience managing and developing junior team members
  • Analytically fluent with a strategic mindset and an ability to think independently and drive change
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills 
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders on all levels of the organisation
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting
  • Expert in Excel / Sheets and Powerpoint / Slides
  • Comfortable extracting and combining data from a variety of systems
  • Prior experience within a SaaS / technology company is desired but not essential
