Job Description Summary
Under general supervision, the position is responsible for developing and securing meetings with Shippers to help sell our Enterprise offerings. The incumbent works closely with the sales team to determine the sales strategy and approach for a given prospect and helps to execute that strategy and approach.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop business opportunities with executives at prospective customers through lead generation efforts by interacting through telephone, email communications, marketing efforts, etc.
  • Evaluate prospective business opportunities using a prescribed customer qualification process.
  • Schedule introductory meetings with prospective customers and Sales Executives, by successfully communicating our transportation service offerings.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective customer contacts and sales leads for assigned Sales Executives; actively maintain the pipeline using the company sales contact database.
  • Meet or exceed sales quota standards set forth by management (e.g., contacts per week, meetings per month).
  • Work with Lead Generation Specialist to plan and deliver marketing efforts for each business.
  • Network within the building to know who the right contacts/relationship owners to strategize and collaborate on a specific opportunity.
  • Some travel required to company events

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or 3-4 years experience in sales, marketing, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in a sales position
  • Proficient active listening skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Proficient time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience working in transportation
  • Ability to identify and engage potential customers in the market
  • Experience in selling an organization's products and services
  • Ability to develop sales plans that are future-oriented, support business strategy and reflect understanding of emerging, as well as existing, opportunities and markets.

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
