Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, talented Systems Design Engineer to be located at our Chaska, Minnesota or Chelmsford, Massachusetts facility. The candidate will drive engineering projects to enable new product development and to release improvements to existing systems across a broad range of Tokyo Electron products. The ideal candidate with have excellent analytical skills combined with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will work with the products to understand and define problems/challenges. Writing and executing to clear specifications, this engineer will collaborate with all other engineering disciplines (mechanical, software, process, manufacturing), production and materials teams to execute projects. Using CAD skills, the engineer will develop and maintain system, assembly and harness schematics and collaborate with design support teams to fully execute projects. Projects will include complex systems, controls, and mechanisms.

Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
