What you will do

Associate Service Engineer is a key role reporting directly to the Operations Manager, Aftermarket HVAC Segment and will be based in Dubai.  The Aftermarket Security team carry out service, maintenance and retrofit projects on Building Technologies and Solutions including and not limited to HVAC Systems.

As an Associate Service Engineer, you will carry out all the activities related to site implementation of the HVAC system including and not limited to:

  • Customer relationship building.
  • Site co-ordination between Customer, Sub-contractor, Supervisor, field and office team.
  • Keeping track and implementing the scheduled planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Driving the assigned L&M and POC job which includes testing and commissioning and providing timely progress report.
  • Submitting the required reports on time to the office team for invoicing the jobs.

You will be part of a team, where you will be exposed to a multifaceted environment that provides a platform for you to develop your technical and project execution skills.

How you will do it

As a key member of this team, you will be handling the following responsibilities, but not limited to,

  • Provide necessary technical support to the team for the smooth execution of the jobs.
  • Gather the updates of the ongoing jobs and report to the Ops Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Follow up on the unbilled / billing of the completed jobs on time.
  • Ensure the on-time order placement of the parts/ materials and follow up for the delivery.

You will liaise with all concerned parties to ensure on-time reporting, transparency, and timely resolution of any kind of site related issues. Your work will have a high inclination towards technical aspect of the HVAC systems. While official training shall be provided, most of the learning shall happen on the field mainly in the form of self-study and seeking mentorship of experienced staff and technical support.

You shall always demonstrate your expertise by conducting system operation training and crafting handover documents to ensure a smooth handover to customers and by maintaining a high standard of safety yourself and sub-contractors.

Required

•            Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Similar Discipline.

•            0-1 year experience / Intern experience in in Mechanical / HVAC systems background

•            Result orientated, tenacious, self-motivated, a customer focused approach

•            Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•            Proficient in business analysis

•            Excellent inter-personal skills - must be able to adapt working style to the personalities and work styles of our stakeholders and internal partners.

•            Fluency in the English language is essential.

•            Good analytical skills
