What You Will Do: 

Guidehouse is seeking a Graphic Design Senior Consultant to join the Defense and Security Segment (D&S). 

The Graphic Designer senior consultant will be responsible for supporting the team in efforts to enhance client deliverables as part of an overall effort supporting the client in developing an agency strategic communications plan. Regular responsibilities include communications planning and coordination, visuals development, and developing templates to address contract deliverables. They will lead the development of visuals and other design elements as part of a broader initiative to develop an agency strategic communications plan and subcomponent communications plans. The senior consultant is expected to be prepared and communicate well, is organized, and creates effective reports and presentations for the client and internal executives. As a consultant you will be coached and mentored as well as provided with feedback to ensure quality deliverables. 

 

Typical duties include:   

  • Develop and implement innovative visual design solutions that align with project goals and effectively communicate messages to diverse audiences within the client agency’s stakeholder population.

  • Work closely with the cross functional communications team directly supporting a defense agency to understand communication goals and strategies.

  • Design infographics, reports, presentations, and other digital and print products efficiently.

  • Manage requirement gathering and setting and enforcing production schedules.

  • Engage external printers or other vendors as needed.

  • Apply user-centered design principles to ensure products resonate with the target audiences.

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.

  • Collaborate with project managers and engagement leadership to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.  

 

What You Will Need 

  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • FIVE (5) years or more experience in graphic design

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Portfolio showcasing the range of your design abilities 

 

What Would Be Nice To Have: 

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET federal or DoD security clearance

  • Master’s Degree in a related discipline

  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience consulting for government clients

  • Section 508 accessibility requirements familiarity

  • Certifications in a related field

  • Experience developing and redesigning processes to meet evolving business requirements

  • Portfolio showcasing the range of your design abilities
