Job Description:

Our SAP Functional Consultants work directly with both clients and internal teams in a project environment to gather and analyse business requirements for the support and configuration of their specific SAP module(s). 

Acting in both hands on delivery delivery and pre-sales capacity in new business pursuits owning full lifecycle of engagement for own functional area.
 
Working in a global organisation operating across multiple clients in response to engagements with DXC for SAP solutions and providing advice on SAP strategy. 

We are looking for individuals with significant experience of managing client stakeholders as well as individuals with full project lifecycle from proposal response, solutioning and planning, mobilising, leading and execution of SAP module implementation. Individual would need to be confident operating in a project team environment and a client led environment.

Due to the nature of our clients projects we can only consider British Nationals that have lived and worked in the UK consistently for the past 5 years, we are unable to consider dual nationals at this time.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Project implementations, leads solution design, implement and promote methodology, ensuring and assuring the quality and technical coherence of the solution, lead solution testing activities, lead solution deployment and early life support activities.

  • Proposal and solution support across multiple client engagements based on client requirements.

  • Gathers and analyses user/business requirements and processes. Understands client requirements, needs, and functionality of the ECC and S/4 product module. Defines and documents business requirements and designs/validates solutions with the client.

  • Works with business users to configure the module to translate business requirements into functional design specifications. Defines initial settings, module-relevant security settings and reporting options.

  • Understands processes and reporting requirements and user interfaces impacted by the ECC/S/4 system. Identifies modifications and recommends and applies changes as appropriate.

  • Facilitates transition to ongoing SAP functional system support. Communicates and interacts with technical team and client to resolve functional issues to meet client requirements.

  • Typical output for the position, though not exhaustive, would be Requirements Traceability Matrix, Business Process Blueprint, Configuration Documentation, Functionality Specification, Test Scripts, Training Guides.

  • Work on proposal/pre-sales activities as an SME on any SAP aspects, working on costing project and support activities to strict deadlines.


Basic Knowledge/Qualifications:

  • Expertise in at least one SAP functional area and good working knowledge of other functional areas or strong integration knowledge across multiple other modules.

  • Experience of S4 projects related to own functional area.

  • Ability to conceptualise and communicate complex topics to senior stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Ability to rapidly pick-up supporting technologies, propositions and business challenges and translate them into SAP Solutions.

  • Ability to work with the customer to understand business requirements to design suitable solutions.

  • Ideally good knowledge of support services and tools to reduce cost drivers such as Solution Manager but not essential.

  • Good understanding of cost drivers and the creation of estimates/proposals

  • 8+ years’ proven track record as Senior SAP Functional Consultant

  • Track record of full project lifecycle implementations
