The UI/UX Researcher / Designer will be responsible for the creation of custom interaction designs and prototypes for ServiceNow applications. Strong candidates should be skilled at translating customer and end-user requirements into creative ideas that achieve strategic solutions and advising and assisting the ServiceNow Business Analyst (BA) in identifying requirements. This individual will create technical wireframes and engaging high-fidelity mockups for use in agile user stories; and will create interactive prototypes that assist in validating design concepts during usability testing.

More About the Role:

  • Translate requirements into wireframes and high-fidelity mockups that incorporate a visual or brand identify and lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to developers, business analysts, and other team members working on the product. Help them understand the motivations and needs providers and health plans.
  • Support product vision by conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences.
  • Use primary and secondary user research to create and maintain user personas that help internal stakeholders understand key user archetypes.
  • Define complex problems expertly through research methods and inform and ideate on concepts through design thinking sessions.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions in collaboration with Product Managers and functional SMEs.
  • Design inspirational, useful, and usable experiences by placing the client first while balancing business needs.
  • Create user journey maps to illustrate interactions and end-to-end online processes.
  • Translate requirements into wireframes and high-fidelity mockups that incorporate a visual or brand identify and lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Design usability tests and write usability test scripts.
  • Conduct usability testing of applications, software and websites.
  • Use a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Ability to attain DHS EOD
  • BA + 10 years’ applicable experience, AA + or 16 years’ experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in User Experience, UX Design, Usability Testing, and validating User-Centered Design Requirements.
  • Design and deliver experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces. A portfolio of work will be required to share.
  • Expertise in UI/UX design software (Figma)
  • Expert knowledge in user-centered design principles, information architecture, prototyping, systems design, and interaction design.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns, including experience with 508 compliant designs.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
