Job Duties:
Perform installation, repair to lighting, power circuits, electrical controls of machines and to component parts of machine tools and plant equipment.
Perform complete facilities construction and repair projects.
Highly diversified work involving complex use of machinists, electricians, plumbers' hand and power tools and equipment.
Judgment required diagnosing, plan, and layout, install, build, test and repair complex types of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Prior experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics/Hydraulics, Electronics, Facilities Maintenance, or Welding.
Successful complete of Qualifying Test. Must be willing to work in a production environment with consistent work on your feet
Must provide your own steel toed shoes (other PPE provided by JCI)
Perform physical work including standing, bending, or lifting to 50 pounds
While some experience in production or manufacturing is preferred, this role is 100% entry-level with on-the-job training
This role is for 2nd shift 3[pm to 11:30pm from Monday to Friday morning with rotating weekends

In addition to the duties and/or responsibilities of lower classified Maintenance Mechanics, Maintenance Mechanics II performs the following:
Electrical:
1. Plan, layout; and perform the complete installation and wiring of electrical controls of the most complex nature on test installations, machine tools, and plant equipment consisting of many interrelated drive motors, timing circuits, motor-generator speed controls, complex relay circuits, etc. and perform the complete installation of equipment and apparatus such as motors, switches, controls, circuit breakers, etc., substations, and plant buildings. Check controls and equipment after installation and diagnose and repair any malfunctions. Responsible for proper running and splicing of under ground power lines.
2. Diagnose and perform repairs on electrical controls of a most complex nature on test installations, machine tools, furnaces and plant equipment consisting of many interrelated drive motors, timing circuits, motor-generator speed controls, complex relay circuits, etc., and on high voltage distribution and transmission lines, equipment, and apparatus in plant building. Replace defective wiring and electrical and mechanical parts as required. Refer to schematic drawings as necessary to diagnose and perform repairs.
3. Perform installation and repair work on electronic controls on machine tools and plan equipment.
Mechanical:
1. Perform the installation, relocation, and erection of machine tools and plant equipment. Check alignment and level of interrelated component parts such as beds, columns, carriages, heads, saddles, rams, rails, etc., and adjust as required. Scrape in surfaces as required and make final checks, adjustments, and alignments after assembly for proper operation and accuracy. Perform all incidental wiring and piping.
2. Read drawings, diagnose trouble, dismantle, and perform completed repair, overhauls, reconditioning, alteration, etc. Reassemble machine tools and plant equipment.
