This position will be responsible for water pump, oil pump, steering cylinder, and hydraulic pump remanufacturing process from disassembly to finish goods ship out. The successful candidate will work closely with EH&S, Production, Maintenance, and Quality team to meet PQVC goal.
Primary focus is Engineering documents of Water Pump/Oil Pump/Steering Cylinder/Hydraulic Pump. Review Capital execution and onsite support in workshop as tooling or machine performance improvement.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Basically, create or update MBOM, standard works, SFMEA’s, PFMEA’s and control plans, ensure documents consistently and correctly.
- Investigate and solve manufacturing problems through the continuous improvement process and problem-solving tools, drive root cause corrective actions and implement solutions.
- Investigating and engaging in creative problem solving / brainstorming / collaborative cross-functional projects to address operational issues including ergonomic/ safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerns.
- Value stream mapping analysis and optimization.
- Keep Engineering chemical inventory correctly.
- Maintain the data of hold for future salvage parts.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities to implement improvements following Lean philosophies.
- Manage manufacturing floor layout to maximize efficiency and flow.
- Providing Technical Support, Machine Integration, and Programming changes to PLC Logic Controllers, and Misc. Assembly and Test equipment.
- Supporting Engineering Change processes, Warranty reduction, and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost metrics.
- Training new processors and developing training programs for Processors and Assemblers.
- Supporting Maintenance, Contractors, and Suppliers with Troubleshooting, Repair, and Programming Changes to machines and tooling
- Providing manufacturing technical support in process control and internal certification.
- Coordinating the purchase and application of machine tools, controls, and related equipment corporate wide to ensure the latest technology is being used to increase efficiency and economy of operations.
- Support new product introduction.
- Attend Engineering Change reviews.
- Support capacity planning and layout change initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years manufacturing working experience with Water Pump/Oil Pump/Steering Cylinder/Hydraulic Pump products preferred.
- The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing plus, familiarity with manufacturing facilities, processes, and equipment.
- A good understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly, and painting operations.
- Have been formally trained in Six Sigma /Lean methodology plus, better with analytical and quantitative skills, familiar with process improvement tools.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Power BI, and Microsoft.
- Good written and oral communication skills with English.
