For Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology and division Rock Tools, we’re looking for a commercial and business-driven person to join us as Sales Support and Development Manager in sales area Australia, New Zeeland, Indonesia, Japan and China.

Your mission

In this position, your main responsibility is to support our sales force in identifying strategic initiatives and develop concrete execution plans to drive successful implementation. You’re the link between our sales teams, the supply organization and our product lines, and through collaboration you secure that we develop initiatives and activities that truly make a difference for our customers. To bring success, you mix a strategic approach with operational performance in this border between the technical and commercial world, and by doing so, you contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture.

Other important parts included in this role are:

  • Market intelligence, such as scanning global trends and competition
  • Market share estimations and go-to-market strategies
  • Sales material development and customer meeting preparations
  • Pipeline management
  • Execution plans and follow-ups
  • Driving and supporting different strategic initiatives for Division Rock Tools.

The location for this position is Perth or Brisbane, Australia. Travel within the sales area is part of your job. You report to the Vice President of Sales and Development.

About you

We’re looking for someone with a degree in Engineering, combined with strong business acumen, or you have gained equivalent knowledge from a long career in a relevant industry. You have a genuine interest and understanding of the industry and market in which we operate, and a background of a couple of years from the field of mining and sales. You know how to initiate and implement change, and you’re both eager and well-equipped to motivate others to follow your lead. Since you interact with important stakeholders in many corners of the world, you must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
