This newly created role represents a fantastic opportunity for you to join this team and become a subject matter expert with some of our leading Oncology products. You will operate as an Associate Partner and help drive the commercial strategy for our oncology brands.  You will look for opportunities, resolve challenges and challenge the business ensuring each brands delivers optimal returns to the business. You will use your experience to generate insight to support decision making, contributing to the success of the Oncology business unit.

In this role you will

  • Partner with the business to make the best, informed, strategic and tactical decisions by using your own analytical skill and commercial judgment or drawing on expert resources in the Business Insights team
  • Review business performance, work to bring a clear view of critical indicators and use the results to raise questions and support or challenge strategy with the Oncology team
  • Proactively analyse relevant data (including activity, sales, market research, etc) to drive recommendations for business actions to improve performance
  • Work closely with data science, market research and reporting to deliver leading solutions for your stakeholders
  • Input/lead forecasting for each cycle and the annual brand planning process (in 3-way team alongside Finance Partner, led by Brand Manager)
  • Advise the business through Sales Force Incentive scheme design & target setting (alongside Sales Force Incentive Manager)

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Degree or equivalent in life sciences, economics, finance or alternative analytical subject
  • Analytical or insight skills and experience using analysis to solve business problems
  • Excellent teamworking skills, experience of working in cross functional teams/matrix teams
  • Ability to effectively visualise & present data for storytelling
  • Proficient in excel and/or other analytical software as well as Microsoft office
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the experience of turning insight into recommendations for senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:

  • Commercial experience (marketing, sales, market access)
  • Experience with using and developing reports in a modern BI system (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Demonstrated prior analytical capabilities (e.g., segmentation and targeting)
  • An understanding of / experience with sales forecasting
  • Knowledge of the NHS and UK healthcare system; knowledge of IQVIA, NHS data sets (e.g., hospital pharmacy audit, primary care prescription data)
  • Awareness/use of open NHS data provided through NHS digital (e.g., hospital episode statics)
