IQVIA Institute for Human Data Science contributes to advancing human health by generating rigorous, evidence-based research. IQVIA Institute utilizes proprietary data sources, subject matter experts, advanced analytical skills, academic and external partners to conduct research and develop objective and data driven reports. These reports are intended for a broad set of stakeholders across the health system, such as policy makers, physicians, patients, societies, foundations etc. Our reports are widely downloaded with nearly 70,000 downloads last year along with over 600 citations in scholarly publications. Research at the IQVIA Institute can vary in size and complexity. We apply quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to a a variety of IQVIA data sources, external data sources and secondary literature to develop our reports. Role Overview:

Project Managers are an integral part of funded research projects. They are responsible for the on-time completion of projects or components of large, complex projects for clients in the life sciences field related to funded reports and research. They also also identify and elevate potential new business opportunities and assists in the sales process. Their projects range in complexity from basic analysis and problem solving to assisting in the development of more complex solutions. Project Managers serve as project leaders and manage the client relationship associated with specific projects. These projects may be done in partnership with several other teams across IQVIA. The research and reports led by Project Managers contribute to public health and public policy discourse across the globe and are well respected and used by stakeholders across the healthcare system (from policy makers, physicians, patients, societies, foundations etc.)

Essential Functions:

  • Participate or lead teams in the design, development and delivery of funded research projects or components of larger, complex projects.
  • Review and analyze client requirements or problems and assist in the development of proposals of cost effective solutions that ensure profitability and high client satisfaction while meeting IQVIA Institute standards
  • Provide direction and guidance to Analysts, Consultants, and where relevant, to Statistical Services assigned to engagement.
  • Develop detailed documentation and specifications.
  • Perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses to assist in the development of tailored funded research solutions.
  • Design, structure and deliver reports and presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the audience.
  • Recommend improvements and alternative solutions to resolve problems.
  • Identify potential new business opportunities of follow-on work and new leads at assigned client.
  • Provide follow-up with client after project deliverable has been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Proactively develop broader and deeper knowledge of methodologies and life sciences industry, healthcare policy globally through on the job experience and participation in training opportunities. Begin to develop subject matter expertise across healthcare system topics
  •  When acting as Project Manager, proactively manage project timelines and manage day to day communication with the client and team members.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health or other related field required. MBA, MPH, PhD with a life sciences or healthcare focus preferred.
  • Typically possesses 5-8 years of post-undergraduate experience or 3-5 years of post Masters experience.
  • Possesses solid project management skills and client management and relationship building skills.
  • Experienced with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients in the life science industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of consulting and research methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area.
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the life science industry and healthcare system across countries
  • Necessary subject matter expertise to effectively manage projects
  • Results oriented approach to work delivery and output. Ability to solve problems independently and creatively.
  • Effective communication - strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language. Excellent presentation, communication and client management skills.
  • Quality: High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • IT skills: Proficient software and computer skills, including MS Office applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Intermediate or advanced Excel skill level preferred.
  • Collaboration: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients. Ability to work across geographies displaying high awareness and understanding of cultural differences.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $95,300.00 - $237,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
