Network Analyst – St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA)
St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA) is a leading healthcare provider, committed to delivering exceptional clinical care and support to our communities. We are seeking a Network Analyst to join our Digital & Technology division, working closely with our Network Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a foundational understanding of networking and a CCNA-level certification, looking to develop their technical skills within a large-scale, mission-critical healthcare environment.
About the Role:
The Network Analyst plays a key technical role in supporting the availability, performance, and integrity of SVHA’s enterprise network and communications platforms. Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, this position provides operational support across a range of network-related activities, assisting senior engineers while acting as a key coordination point for network vendors and site engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Operations Support: Monitor alerts, raise tickets, escalate incidents, and document all work to maintain accurate system records. Assist with LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, telephony, and unified communications across SVHA sites.
Incident & Fault Management: Respond to network alerts, triage incidents, and escalate issues to senior engineers and managed service providers (MSPs) as needed.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate outage notifications and scheduled maintenance with MSPs, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and minimise service disruptions.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, asset lists, and configuration baselines. Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and incident reporting.
On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call roster, assisting with network recovery during critical events and liaising with clinical areas to ensure swift service restoration.
Learning & Development: Benefit from structured mentorship and exposure to enterprise-grade tools and platforms, with opportunities for professional growth and career progression in networking and IT infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For:
Networking Knowledge: Foundational networking experience, ideally with a CCNA-level certification or equivalent.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and analyse network-related incidents and service degradation.
Communication: Clear, courteous communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including vendors, site teams, and corporate stakeholders.
Collaboration: A team player with a willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the broader network operations team.
Commitment to Excellence: Focus on maintaining high standards of documentation, procedures, and service delivery, with a keen eye for continuous improvement.
Why Join SVHA?
This role offers a dynamic and supportive work environment where you’ll have access to structured learning and mentoring to help you grow within a highly technical and mission-critical setting. You’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the delivery of safe and reliable healthcare services while being part of a values-driven organisation committed to clinical safety, user experience, and community impact.
