Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Finance & Accounts, he/she will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day operations and reporting tasks in relation to controllership function in accordance with Company policies, procedures, professional standards, best practices, and regulatory guidelines for Company.

  • Month-end GL closing
  • To perform the monthly reconciliation of MFRS 17 ledger and MFRS 4 ledger.
  • To prepare and upload prerequisite manual input files in relevant Systems/Applications and perform validation.
    • Prepare and load Portfolio Files
    • Prepare and load Grouping Files
    • Prepare and load Expense Allocation Files
    • Prepare and load Credit Risk Margin Files
  • Defect Management:
    • Log defect in HP ALM with detailed information if error/issue is encountered.
    • Monitor Defects that have been raised to in HP ALM and ensure documentation meets Global Documentation Standards for respective entity.
    • Retest defect / re-execute test case when defect is fixed/ready for QA
  • MFRS 17 GL bookings Management:
    • Process FPSL to IFRS 17 GL (Journal Entries in IFRS 17 GL)
    • Validate FPSL to IFRS 17 GL (Journal Entries in IFRS 17 GL)

  • Regulatory and Regional Reporting
  • To perform the new enhanced BNM reporting for MFRS 4 and 17 of on a quarterly basis.
  • To prepare interim and annual financial statements for MFRS 17.
  • To assist in the implementation of the MFRS 17 project including but not limited to data mapping and system enhancement.
  • To perform regional financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting report and analyzing financial results.
  • To assist in various projects that involve Finance participation such as system enhancement.
  • To liaise with internal and external auditors during the interim and final audit.
  • To provide valuable analysis and reports to Management with timely, accurate and relevant information in compliant to all MFRS.
  • To independently research accounting guidelines for all new MFRS
  • Continually work to automate and optimize process-flows and spreadsheet models related to financial reporting.
  • To assist in analysis and reconciliation between UGAAP and MFRS reporting framework.
  • To work towards solid documentation and communication to senior management the status of implementation of accounting projects.
  • To pro-actively recommends improvement and enhancements to accounting process-flows
  • Other jobs and duties as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Possess Bachelor Degree in Finance & Accounting or any other equivalent field Relevant working experience in related field
  • Proficient in English – able to write and communicate clearly in English
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
