Responsible for managing a team that maintains and enhances the company's Fair Banking Program. Develops and coaches' teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manage risk within the teams you oversee.
Responsibilities
Manages a team that maintains and enhances the company's Fair Banking Program. Provides support, coaching, and counsel to the team. Manages the development of team members by authoring and assigning goals, conducting periodic coaching and feedback reviews, and administering annual performance evaluations.
Possesses the ability to identify fair banking risks particularly in an environment of new and emerging technologies (e.g. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, model development and oversight). Maintains a high level of awareness and knowledge of Fair Banking compliance requirements (including Americans with Disabilities Act, Limited English Proficiency and Elder protection) and assisting in the identification of Fair Banking risks.
Oversees the Fair Banking governance programs for marketing, acquisitions, credit risk, fraud, servicing, and/or collections initiatives and supports the oversight of model development activities. Supports the business in operationalizing legal and regulatory requirements.
Evaluates the adequacy of business policies, procedures, training and reference materials, systemic and manual processes, and provides support for research of regulatory requirements related to fair banking risk.
Assists in planning and executing Fair Banking Program elements including the Statistical Testing program, an enterprise-wide fair banking risk assessment, vendor management, and regulatory change management. Communicates and collaborates with business partners in the first line of defense regarding compliance risks and controls.
Supervises the development of fair and responsible banking risk scorecards and prepares and presents status reports of program initiatives, activities, and compliance issues for management and committees.
Prepares for regulatory exams, internal audits and compliance tests. Plan and execute Fair Banking Program initiatives with guidance from the Senior Manager and the Fair Banking Program Director.
Promotes a risk-aware culture, ensures efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes. Ensures compliance issues are brought to the attention of senior compliance professionals. Collaborate with the business to implement corrective action and controls resulting from the risk assessment, Compliance, or Internal Audit findings.
Assists Directors and VP in larger projects as needed.
Assesses the risk raised by third-party service providers whose services are impacted by fair banking legal or regulatory requirements.
Supports management in the development, implementation, maintenance, and maturation of compliance programs and a culture of compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Information Technology, Analytics, Finance or related
8+ years of experience in Compliance, Law, Risk Management, Model Development, Operations, including people management
In lieu of a degree, 12+ years of experience in Legal, compliance program, or model risk at a bank or financial services company, with experience specifically in fair lending or model development oversight, including people management
Preferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
