Summary

ASM Global, a leader in managing public assembly facilities, is seeking a Billing Analyst for the Salt Palace Convention Center & Mountain America Exposition Center. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is instrumental in maintaining financial integrity through client account reconciliations and participating in the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and skilled in AR accounting practices, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Occasional travel between the two locations within Salt Lake County may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate Advance Deposit Invoices in compliance with organizational policies and client agreements.
  • Prepare Event Settlement Invoices, collaborating with event coordinators and stakeholders as needed.
  • Manage and reconcile customer accounts, accurately applying payments and maintaining organized records.
  • Process event-related journal entries, including statistical entries, to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Work directly with clients to clarify financial agreements, manage contract updates, and ensure smooth invoicing in line with contract terms.
  • Set up and manage Event Projects in the accounting system (Microsoft D365), defining financial dimensions to enable accurate tracking of revenues and expenses.
  • Provide support and review for all invoicing activities across departments, including the creation of non-event invoices as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as required.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Prefer a bachelor's degree or pursuit of a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Good customer service skills, including telephone etiquette, email, and text communications.
  • Dependable and team-oriented
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with people on all levels such as management, co-workers, clients, exhibitors, and attendees.
  • Computer proficient. Comfortable working with Microsoft products.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing and accurately completing them on time in a potentially stressful environment.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, In-Office/Hybrid

Salary: $21-29 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Flexible Start/End Times, Occasional Weekend Availability Required
