As a Business Specialist, your purpose is to achieve the key strategic and business objectives of Telstra Fleet, significantly increasing the take up of the Salary Sacrifice program.
You will closely collaborate with a variety of key stakeholders within the Fleet team, our external Fleet Manager, and other stakeholders across the business.

Focus of the Role

As a Business Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing Telstra Fleet’s Salary Sacrifice Program. You will be responsible for ensuring the Salary Sacrifice program remains one of Telstra’s most popular employee benefits, whilst ensuring the program remains cost neutral. You will join a dynamic and motivated team dedicated to delivering an exceptional employee experience. Your expertise in salary packaging and/or novated leasing will be essential to ensure the success of the program. What You’ll Do

As a Business Specialist, your purpose is to achieve the key strategic and business objectives of Telstra Fleet, significantly increasing the take up of the Salary Sacrifice program.

You will closely collaborate with a variety of key stakeholders within the Fleet team, our external Fleet Manager, and other stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the development of the Salary Sacrifice program calculator and ensuring deductions are calculated correctly and the program remains cost neutral

  • Reconciling deductions to spend and reporting on the status of the program

  • Working closely with the Telstra Fleet team to close different delivery projects as various needs arise

  • Bring to life key initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities that will aid in delivering best practice fleet management

  • Leading negotiations with vehicle manufacturers

  • Responsible for the contract management of Telstra’s Novated Lease providers

  • Stakeholder management of both drivers and 1-ups including responding to queries on the Telstra Fleet Viva Engage page.

About You

Key Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Extensive experience in Salary Packaging or novated leasing

  • Ability to communicate complex subjects simply and effectively, tailoring key messages for a broad and varied range of stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in translating data into business opportunities for improvement.

  • Some experience in project management or driving change initiatives to completion.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing a diverse group of stakeholders.

  • Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills, with a keen sense of commercial acumen.

  • Effective at influencing people, with a focus on performance, operational improvement, change management, and project execution.
