Mission Summary

You will create and manage schedules to ensure vehicle operators are supporting daily operations. You will assist leadership in the creation of best practices and protocols for operators to abide by. You are the first point of contact for vehicle operators when issues arise and resolve them. After coordinating with multiple departments, such as engineering, L&D, and safety, you will determine what resources are necessary to conduct operations efficiently. You must manage and approve time-off requests for team members while ensuring there is no impact on operations. You will supervise the daily performance of vehicle operators to include coaching, addressing attendance issues, and issuing disciplinary points in alignment with company policies and standards. You will conduct bi-weekly 15/5 reviews with vehicle operators and bi-annual, annual performance reviews to ensure effective coaching is in place for vehicle operator growth and development.

The Motional Las Vegas office is located less than 10 miles from the Las Vegas strip at 730 E Pilot Road, the Las Vegas office is home to one of the largest fleets of self-driving vehicles. The city’s grid system of roads and being one of America’s “smart cities” allows for extensive research and development testing.

  • VO Scheduling and Vehicle Dispatching
  • Daily briefs via zoom or in-person
  • Review weekly 15/5 feedback forms
  • Review dash camera footage
  • Gather and track information regarding operations             
  • Conduct Performance Reviews
  • Lead group projects
  • Review/correct punch times
  • Approve and manage time-off requests
  • Basic IT Troubleshooting
  • Basic AV system troubleshooting
  • Provide job coaching for operators          
  • Interview new VO candidates
  • Able to travel domestically
  • Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • Prefer 6 months - 1 year of prior management experience
  • Must have 5+ years of driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office/G-Suite Applications
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet last quick deadlines
  • Must have shift flexibility 
  • Good communication both verbally and written

Bonus points (not required):

  • Data analytic experience

Supervisory

This role supervises employees and partners with other sites for consistent leadership and management practices.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 50 pounds. 

Working Environment

The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbents may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, road conditions and pedestrian traffic. The team member is regularly exposed to mechanical and computer parts. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. Salary Range
$72,000$95,500 USD
