Job Title: IT Engagement Manager

Salary: SG26 £80,000 - £90,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Peterborough

About IPSD

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat® and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. The Opportunity
The Industrial Power Systems Medium Engines and Energy & Transportation Asia Pacific Engagement Manager serves as a strategic IT business partner for manufacturing facilities and related business processes across the United Kingdom, China, India, and Brazil.

Job Role
The Engagement Manager for Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) Medium Engines and Energy & Transportation Asia Pacific will provide technology leadership and support for 12 engine and gen set manufacturing facilities across Medium Engines, Caterpillar UK Defense, plus E&T reciprocating engine facilities and small offices across Asia for over 4,000 users.
 

This role manages ~45 people and $20M-$25M in technology spend for a globally dispersed team.
 

What You Will Do

  • Develops business-relevant IT strategies and roadmaps aligned to business value.

  • Delivers tangible business value through technology solutions aligned to the business strategy and priorities.

  • Provides thought leadership to proactively solve business challenges and issues.

  • Manages operational stability, health, and availability of technology solutions.

  • Protects the business and brands across cyber, risk and compliance requirements.

  • Prioritizes resources to achieve strategic business outcomes.

The successful candidate profile includes:

  • Strategy development & execution: Experience leading, developing, socializing, and executing IT strategies and roadmaps in a complex environment.

  • Relationship management: Collaborating and managing partner and peer relationships to achieve business outcomes by leading through influence and direct accountability in a matrixed environment.

  • Business acumen: Strong business and financial acumen to guide sounds decisions and manage annual business plans.

Degree Requirement: Degree or equivalent experience desired

We operate a hybrid working week consisting of three days in the office and two from home.
