Position summary:

The Reinsurance Claims Adjuster / Analyst will assist with adjusting / reviewing Lloyds, London and International reinsurance claims, within the Lloyds Syndicate. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marine reinsurance claims essential. Property, Casualty, Political Risk and Aviation desirable.
  • Analyze initial claim notifications, including coverage verification and associated checks for both proportional and excess of loss contracts. Ensure reserving is valid and appropriate.
  • Maintain electronic claims files and validate settlements, within authority levels.
  • Ensuring and delivering excellent claims service to all customers, by effectively driving claims through to resolution.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Treaty Reinsurance (Cross Class)
  • Developing relationships with brokers, legal representatives, and clients
  • Internal liaison with Underwriters and Reserving Actuaries.
  • Candidates should have experience with reviewing and assessing policy coverage for Reinsurance claims with complementary skillsets, including high level of communication competencies between internal and external stakeholders and knowledge of the London market as a claim’s handler.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a reinsurance claims team, essentially to include knowledge of Marine Reinsurance Claims. Property, Casualty, Political Risk and Aviation classes desirable.
  • Proficient in London Market Systems ECF 2 and IMR. Together with relevant ‘write back’ management claims system.
  • Ability to build solid relationships with clients and demonstrate strong client management skills.
  • A passion for learning and a keen interest in current losses & events.
  • A strategic thinker with strong communication skills; able to articulate their point of view in a clear and considered manner.
  • Ability to prioritise and proactively meet deadlines.
  • Customer focused and keen to provide the highest quality of service delivery.
