Editorial Operations Assistant, France and BENELUX - Reuters

This hybrid position will be based in Paris, France.

If so, this position as an Editorial Operations Assistant at Reuters might be for you.

Reuters are looking for an Editorial Operations Assistant based in Paris to manage our news support and operations function across France, Belgium and the Netherlands. In this role, you would play a key role in the management of these international offices and will be part of a wider team across Europe. As an Editorial Operations Assistant, you will be involved in tasks ranging from planning and managing administrative processes and enabling our journalists to succeed, to organizing corporate events and cooperating with facility management, finance service and HR.

About the Role

As Editorial Operations Assistant, you will:

  • Support local management by coordinating travel for major events, visa applications and accreditations. You'll also be key to maintaining files, ordering press cards, administrating contracts and general correspondence from the Bureau.

  • Process the invoices in coordination with Thomson Reuters’ finance and accounting teams

  • Manage our fleet of company vehicles (registration, license, fuel and insurance cards, car fines, management of damages, parking authorisation).

  • Organise and coordinate company and client events and take an active role in managing internal communications regarding new procedures and changes in policies.

  • Ensure that new staff is onboarded onto corporate systems, cooperation with IT department

  • Cooperate with facility management on health & safety, maintenance, business continuity

  • Be responsible for monthly accounting of shift supplements for staff and coordination with payroll, preparation of files for ordering press cards and monitoring of delivery and manage the local sub subscriptions (TV cables, mobile phones, fibre).

 

About You

You're a fit for the role of Editorial Operations Assistant if you:

  • Have excellent organizational skills and demonstrable experience in office administration.

  • Have an interest in understanding what makes a global news organisation successful and a desire to help keep our France and Benelux Bureaux efficient.

  • Are a great communicator, comfortable working with international stakeholders in both written and spoken English and French.

  • Enjoy working in fast-paced environments and take a flexible approach to solving problems as they arise.
