Responsible for aiding in the timely processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll and time and attendance records in STAMP.  Inputs data, edits STAMP attendance records, and ensures changes are up-to-date before transmission to Corporate Payroll for processing.  Sorts checks, answers employee questions and troubleshoots issues.  Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Core Responsibilities

  • Processes Plant’s Payroll using STAMP payroll software. Confirms checking schedules, hours and times are recorded correctly. Closely communicates with Human Resources and the operations group to ensure employees are paid correctly. Reports efficiencies and others labor matrices within established deadlines.

  • Enters data from transfer sheets received from Supervisors into STAMP to ensure accurate Payroll. Makes adjustments to attendance records.

  • Ensures payroll changes are kept up-to-date.

  • Assists employees and supervisors with payroll related questions.

  • Assists Human Resources as needed, including translating as needed in meetings as well as individually helping with employee issues.

  • Provides assistance to Accounting as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and  2+ years of relevant payroll or time keeping experience, required.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word.

  • SAP and Kronos experience, preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant.  The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.

  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • Specific vision includes close vision and ability to adjust focus.

  • Frequently required to sit, use hands to handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
