We are seeking a motivated and creative Functional Training Specialist to join our Global Nike Athlete Experience (NAX) Training & Experience Team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering retail-facing training content, resources and materials that will equip our global Nike stores and partners with retail fundamentals learning.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This individual is a key member of our Functional Training Team reporting directly to the Director, Leader and Athlete Functional Training. They will partner closely with all Global Nike Athlete Experience functions (Functional Training, Product and Experience, Selling and Service, Areas of Expertise, and On Demand Learning) to develop training material. They will work cross-functionally with other retail-supporting Global Stores’ teams, and our retail partners, to discover and design identified training content in multiple formats.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Functional Training Specialist will join a fast-paced team to develop training content to help Nike stores and partners continuously grow the service, operational and product knowledge skills necessary to drive results across Nike global. You will support a variety of training programs, including, and not limited to: product knowledge, service and selling, onboarding, store leadership, and store operations. You will write training content in multiple formats, design activities and resources, and work as a thought partner with the extended training team. You will organize and participate in meetings to gather the right content and translate information into creative and impactful training – both digital and analog. A keen sense of inquiry and the ability to distill complex information into its most critical pieces for the end user are essential.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
· Develop scalable and sustainable learning materials for global Nike employees, both written and digital.
· Assist in course design and the development of engaging instructional materials, covering aspects of service and selling, operations, and product focuses.
· Create interactive activities designed to enhance learning experience and evaluate understanding.
· Assist in the maintenance of Nike’s Learning Management Systems (LMS).
· Produce high-quality work with proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines with competing project timelines.
· Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates and cross-functional team members to gather content to inform accuracy in training materials
· Review, revise and update Nike training materials, ensuring they are clear, concise, and relevant for current business objectives.
· Develop subject-matter knowledge and expertise for assigned content areas.
