Job Description:

TD Bank is looking for a IT Analyst to join the Linux Patching Team. The identified candidate should have patching and Ansible automation platform experience. They will write playbooks according to business needs, develop scripts, apply automation, and provide a broad range of research, installation, maintenance, configuration, administration and/or provisioning of systems/applications.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Installs and maintains Software Packages & Patches.
  • Have good knowledge on vulnerabilities and OS configuration.
  • Ability to code and script using Ad-Hoc command, Roles etc.
  • Work effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team in resolving critical service issues
  • Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines
  • Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team
  • Identifies root causes and implements targeted and controlled remediation plans
  • May install, configure, upgrade, administer business applications/systems in co-ordination with appropriate stakeholders
  • Reviews, participates and implements procedures
  • Researches industry standards, best practices and new innovations in technology and makes recommendations

Experience, Technical Skills, and Education

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • 2-4 years of Linux Patching experienc
  • Windows / RED HAT, Ansible Automation, GITHUB, Artificatory, Bash, Python, Shell scripting, IBM(WAS/IHS) MQ, AWS, VCS/VXVM, Red Hat Cluster. Creating/Implementing Playbooks,  Sudo configuration (controlling users, file access, Administering Users and Groups).
