What you will be doing
As a Technology Business Consultant Specialist, you will bring expert-level depth/breath of skills, implementation experience and knowledge of asset finance industry practices, regulations and processes, as well as understanding the individual client differences. As an expert, uses professional concepts in solutioning and resolving critical issues for clients and prospects. Anticipates internal and/or external business and technology challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product, or service improvements. Cultivates thought leadership across the practice.
- Defines, maintains and enhances practice offering to support business objectives, strategic development roadmap and client business needs.
- Collaborates with senior-level clients, product management, development and managed services to develop, enhance and implement the business architecture for complex business solutions to support specific client requirements and address market opportunities.
- Interfaces with all areas of the client and internal enterprises affected by the project including strategic planning, product management, product development, technology services and client services to ensure the client’s expectations and market requirements are met.
- Consults with clients on the most strategic technology projects within a practice area.
- Provides solutioning expertise in both internal and client facing escalations to resolve roadblocks and challenges.
- Serves as pre-sales support specialist as needed with sales and account management to create and close sales opportunities. May include developing solution proposals and delivering prospect presentations.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders, e.g., product management, development, sales, and senior management to define and support Asset Finance consulting services.
- Negotiates with and influences both the solutions architects and external clients to achieve a business solution that meets client expectations and market requirements.
- Ensures practice provides industry thought leadership.
- Mentors and develops resources to grow practice knowledge among consulting services organization.
- Researches and resolves critical issues related to client solution in a timely and professional manner.
- Provides technical and business domain expertise.
- Leveraged across multiple large, complex client projects/programs
- Works directly with clients and travels to client sites.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
- Typically requires twenty or more years of related experience
- Expert knowledge and expertise of FIS Asset Finance and the Asset Finance business
- Expert knowledge of Asset Finance industry practices, regulations and processes
- Expert knowledge of process taxonomy and flow of a specific client organization and/or the overall market
- Expert knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, e.g., iterative, waterfall, and agile
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple engagements concurrently.
- In-depth ability in defining and implementing an overall solution and expertise in the business architecture
- In-depth ability in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc
- Expert analytical, statistical, problem-solving skills
- Ability to utilize judgment in decision-making processes and decisions related to job tasks
- Requires excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
- Proven success in building relationships
- Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
- Ability to travel frequently
Added bonus if you have:
- Knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in business process development, documentation and re-engineering
- Understanding of quality management methods, tools and technologies
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- Recognized by peer group and external clients as a subject matter expert (SME) in FIS Asset Finance
- Must have led or participated in defining and implementing business solutions for multiple Asset Finance projects
- Five or more years working in FIS Asset Finance as a business systems analyst or technology business consultant at a senior or specialist level

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $111,410.00 - $187,180.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
