RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Common Year Process & Financial Planning:

  • Actively participate in the Common Year end to end process, ensuring alignment of initiatives with long range plan (LRP)
  • Review consolidated financial rollups, provide exception reporting when anomalies are identified
  • Assist field resources in reviewing/analyzing plan vs trend. Communicate and escalate known risks/plan issues
  • Manage the planning module in TM1 (financial management software), including testing and utilization training
  • Manage core financial planning and budgeting processes

2. Associate Earnings Reserve Management:

  • Maintain and manage the Associate Earnings Reserve (AER)
  • Thorough review of results with the field resources to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure Guarantees are updated and variances to the financial plan are reviewed with senior leadership

3. Support to the Regional Business Teams:

  • Provide financial support to operational leaders such as VPs, District Managers (DMs), RX Specialists, and other field resources
  • Creation and maintenance of reports on key financial areas such as labor cost management, expense controls, and profitability analysis
  • Preparation of financial presentations and reporting packages
  • Collaborate with regional business units to identify potential opportunities and assess their impact on business performance
  • Attend Business Unit Meetings

4. Collaboration with Field and Accounting Teams:

  • Work closely with District Managers to review and adjust financial plans, ensuring proper loading of updated plans into SAP
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure alignment between financial forecasts and actual performance
  • Ensure alignment of operations with broader business strategies

5. Financial Reporting and Presentations:

  • Prepare financial presentations and reporting packages, especially for senior leadership
  • Highlight insights, performance trends, and variances in financial results

6. Regular Updates to Senior Leadership:

  • Provide regular updates to the Senior Director of Finance regarding financial performance, findings, and decision support insights
  • Communicate performance, risks, and issues clearly and effectively to senior leaders

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:

· Capable of working across teams, managing relationships, and collaborating with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

· Bachelor of Commerce. CPA designation a plus

· Advanced experience (3-5yrs.) in retail financial planning and analysis (FP&A)

· Expertise in Microsoft suite of Products especially Excel

· Ability to collaborate with operational and field teams.

· Knowledge of SAP

· Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior leadership.

· Ability to manage multiple financial reporting and planning processes
