Role Summary

As an IT Support Technician, you will provide comprehensive hardware and software support for our offices based in China. This role involves delivering on-site technical assistance for standard office functions, including Windows laptops, printers, and applications. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing small projects and collaborating within a larger international team for more complex initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Timely response to incident tickets specific to the location.

• Offering desk-side support and resolving operating system and application issues.

• Configuring devices for new employees and managing device recovery from departing staff.

• Installing, configuring, and upgrading software and related products.

• Participation in small-scale project works as required.

• Contribution to major incident, problem, and change assessments and resolutions

Technical skillset

• Building and supporting Windows devices (laptops and desktops).

• Handling multi-function print and scan devices.

• Software installation and validation.

• Providing application support, including user troubleshooting.

• Managing ticket queues and generating reports.

• Performing routine maintenance tasks on a variety of hardware devices.

• Demonstrating the ability to clearly document activities within a regulated environment.

• Proficiency in inventory management.

The ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:

• Experience collaborating with internal and external customers, technical experts, and professional staff.

• Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient problem-solving skills.

• Experience in configuring network devices.

• Strong documentation skills.

• Proactive and capable of working with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrates a flexible approach to work.
