Job Description
The Product Manager Senior Expert is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of two or more products in Allstate’s growing product portfolio. Product Manager Senior Expert manages strategic product vision, product discovery and roadmaps to maximize the customer and enterprise value provided by their product. Product Manager Senior Expert also collaborates with a Product Marketing Manager to plan and execute an integrated marketing plan to support market awareness and adoption for their product, as applicable• Good understanding of network, voice infrastructure
• Good understanding to switching and routing, voice translation
• Partner with the Allstate Information Security team for risk assessments and risk mitigation
• Partner with external business units and remote office technology teams (collaboration tools, Voice, physical security, network security, Real Estate and Construction, etc.) in ensuring that Allstate is managing its real estate portfolio cost effectively.
• Partner with the Network Connectivity and Platform Consultants to ensure that network smart office solutions are evaluated and introduced to ensure the maximum productivity of the office
• Partner with real estate and datacenter team for lifecycle, fulfilment and hands and feet teams
they will work with the On-Prem business hosting teams to ensure that server deployments in the private cloud (data centers) are being done cost effectively, by managing the switch port allocations and consumption in the data centers and Colo’s.
• Monitor budgets and operational effectiveness; develop strategies for adjusted courses of action
• Weigh alternatives and considers service and business implications of decisions
• Lead development and recommendation of new techniques and processes to support innovative solutions
• Coach and mentor members of the team as well as members of the cross-functional development organization
• Define and manage KPIs to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.
• Create, drive and execute holistic product strategy (i.e. not limited to software development) for 2 or more products in our growing digital product portfolio.
• Partner with stakeholders inside and outside of the enterprise, and present to field teams and at events as the “product expert” for your defined product area.
• Make build, buy and/or partner decisions to advance product strategy and maximize KPIs
• Invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs & habits and to elicit their feedback to potential product concepts and/or released product iterations.
• Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate concepts as appropriate for backlog investments.
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
• 10 or more years of experience in product management
• Technical know how on network and voice infrastructure
• This job has supervisory duties.
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
