Our IRP Energy Conservation team is looking for an outstanding Senior Project Manager to join our fast-paced dynamic team. In this role, you will work independently and as a key strategic contributor to the broader team for the design, implementation, evaluation and analytics of geo-targeted energy efficiency and demand response Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) alternatives.

What You Will Do

  • Provide strategic support to program leads as assigned relating to the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of geo-targeted energy conservation programs.

  • Lead ongoing engagement with key internal teams for geo-targeted energy conservation programs to optimize results and leverage synergies with broad-based DSM programs.

  • Lead development and management of project work-plans for IRP identifying, prioritizing, and tracking commitments, action items and initiatives; driving accountability for reporting on and closing items.

  • Provide project management expertise towards ensuring on time / on budget delivery of specified projects.

  • Lead evaluation planning and execution for IRP geo-targeted energy conservation initiatives, inclusive of project management, the evaluation scope, required analysis, leadership of requirements with internal team members and with external evaluation contractor(s) as required.

  • Lead requirements and continual enhancement of analytical tools used to model geo-targeted energy efficiency and demand response programs, inclusive of internal and external vendor relationship(s) and requirements.

  • Lead detailed analysis for conservation programming in supporting IRP evaluation encompassing complex data inputs, technical examination and strategic decisions to optimize the process.

  • Provide support towards the submission of IRP related Ontario Energy Board (OEB) filings including drafting evidence and defense of regulatory filing materials.

  • Support execution of OEB decisions for IRP applications.

  • Lead consultation with external stakeholders on IRP initiatives as required.

  • Undertake research efforts to identify and understand geo-targeted energy conservation industry best practices, trends and lessons learned and provide analysis / recommendations for incorporating into strategy development and initiative implementation.

Who You Are

You have the following education and experience:

  • Related university degree (preferred Business, Economics, Environmental Studies, or another related field).

  • 6+ years of experience in the energy sector - direct policy / regulatory / evaluation / energy conservation program related job experience in Demand Side Management (DSM) is preferred.

  • Proficiency in data analytics and database tools.

  • Strong project management, research and problem-solving skills with a proven track record to identify solutions to complex requirements and act within an evolving environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to summarize and synthesize complex material to identify issues and develop strategies to address them.

  • Positive relationship building, and teamwork skills across a diverse network of departments and personnel.

  • Experience leading multi-faceted projects and influencing without authority.

  • Technical understanding of energy conservation, related impacts on consumer consumption and demand profiles is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • This position operates in an office work environment with occasional travel.
